Rug sample: As promised :)

Here's one of the sample carpet sections of the games rug i recently designed. I'm about to order the rug, which should take about two months to make.
It's an amazing process from start to finish. The amount of work that goes into making one rug is intense to say the least. The guy who makes them is super muscly as a result of all the hard labour. Feels great to design something and work with someone with amazing craftsmanship to execute it.

Model-delicious :)

Yesterday Miss Delish and I took up a free professional photo-shoot offer for fun.We had a fantastic day!
When I got the original call and offer I had had a horrible day and so thought 'why not?'
We twisted our bodies into some awesomely strange poses. We did a gothic shoot all in black, a formal shoot in fancy dresses and an outdoor shoot.
Seems that horrible days can lead to wonderful ones :)

Swedish Woods.

I had a rough day yesterday and was feeling really low all night.
I realise my posting is fairly erratic but felt that this music was too beautiful not to share.
I feel like sitting at my piano surrounded by the vastness of beautiful Swedish woods right now.
No matter what happens, music is always a heartbeat away, which to me is an extremely comforting thought sometimes.

This is a cover of Fleet Foxes' Tiger Mountain Peasant Song.
Hope you like it!

Woolen cupcakes.

It's been an extremely busy cupcake Tuesday. I've been in the process of designing a rug over the past few weeks. Samples of my designs arrived at Designer Rugs this morning and I couldn't wait to see them, so despite a packed schedule I made an early stop at the showroom. The weather was confused, bright blue skies and heavy rain united. The samples looked great (will post photos asap). Here's a picture of the wool colour samples for the rug. Even though these aren't technically cupcakes, they mimic the shape slightly and look equally delicious to me :)
Looking forward to flopping into an oversized armchair next Wednesday after the final design presentation.

Mr Electron.

Yesterday I went to the Sydney craft fair with mum and Anth. I found a kit to make a Mr Electron man and couldn't resist making one for G. I made a mini Mr Electron. Finished him this morning and then did a photoshoot of him looking cool. He likes to play the drums and listen to loud music!

Hello Cupcake!

These are for mysterious Mr. M living in Japan. It seems that sweet things aren't very easy to find there, particularly cupcakes and brownies. Here is some proof that someone is making cupcakes somewhere in Japan. Unfortunately it is a top secret operation that was not disclosed with the image. I'm going to see Lily Allen tonight, SWEET!
HAPPY TUESDAY!

Bondi Afternoon.

Spent an afternoon down at Bondi with Kade taking photos and eating sushi. Both very tasty!

Tasty Winter.

A couple of weeks ago, when the cold hit in hard, G and I made some mussels for dinner. SUPER TASTY! and soooo easy to make. We used some white wine, basil, baby tomatoes and garlic. Very la-di-da, if I do say so myself :)

Holy fabric smoke.

Some beautiful smokey images from the Non-Format Showcase.

That black smoke is incredible! I have black leggings and sparkly leggings, but black sparkly leggings! Revolutionary! hehe.

Protection from the rain.

Love this!

Future trips to the snow.

This post is specifically for those planning a trip to the snow any time soon.
Please remember to pack a mirror and learn how to use photoshop.

As for me, I'm busy staying out of the cold Sydney weather and indulging in multiple tea times throughout the evening :)

It's Tuesday!

Indeed, that means...

An official cupcake Tuesday mascot and the discovery of the ultimate cupcake flavour for G :)
